I was born February 17, 1951. Always considered myself half Irish and half
Italian. I am the 4th of 5 children. I have been married for over forty
years and have 5 children all boys; ages 25 to 40.
Because of my age I will try to make this brief but in reality I could
write a book or two on the action of God in my life.
At the age of 4, I was playing on the side of our house when the Holy
Family appeared to me. It was as if They came to play with me. They stared
at me and were silent for a time and left. The next day I went out to see
them again but a big black snake was there instead. I was so disturbed that
I cried to my father to come and find my Holy Family. I still remember him
holding my hand and looking with me but they were all gone.
Life in our family and in our world took a serious turn against the family,
this darkness is still at work.
The Holy Family has a mission for me and to the best of my ability I have
tried to perform it. Daily Mass, rosary and Bible study have kept me close
to the Holy Family as well as the Holy Trinity. Over the years I have had
help from several Saints as well as several saintly priests.
In 1989 my husband and I went to Medjugorje, Yugoslavia as part of a
vacation in Europe. That trip and the Mother of God have been with us ever
since. Her love, care and protection have been palatable through out
the years.
I began my journey as a secular Carmelite in 2003. The most wonderful
formation in prayer. When kneeling to receive my scapular I had a vision of
Jesus putting the Cardinals hat on then Bishop Sean O’Malley. I was asked
to give my Carmelite vocation for him. Pope Benedict made him a Cardinal
in 2006.
My husband retired in 2005, we had this wonderful plan to move to North
Conway, NH were we had a vacation home. Previous to moving I took our 2
youngest sons to France and Italy. Arrived in Rome early evening to see the
white smoke and hear the Italians crying out in the streets “Neuveau
Papa.” It was a moment in time much like the birth of a child. The church,
the world reborn. The square went from almost empty to massive crowds in a
matter of minutes.
I site this experience because it brought me to the beginning of “Women Espoused to Purity
for Christ.” In February of 2013, the day before Pope Benedict the XVI
resigned I awoke with a prayer in my head, one I had never heard before or
even thought of.
I was guided to have 1,000 prayer cards made. Shortly after that I was
asked to “Form a cult of women espoused to Purity for Christ.” This blog
and the message it is suppose to bring to the world, is a direct result of
the guidance of the Mother of God and the Holy Spirit.
We retired once again in Supply, North Carolina, December of 2017. From the
mountains to the ocean. I have lived in several states and done some
traveling outside this country.
Life has its ups and downs but all in all it is very good, learn to suffer
well and you can conquer anything.
